
Ubuntu 11.10 is shiped with a default System Setting control panel in which you can not tweak advance settings. In order to get it done you have to install the Gnome Tweak Tool. Use the following command to install Gnome Tweak Tool in your Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot.
| sudo apt-get install gnome-tweak-tool |
Click on he Advanced Settings icon.

Here you go with your changes...

Good.
Yea,,, today we can say Fedora, Mint, Arch, Ubuntu, Debian and OpenSUSE are the best of the linux distro. Each gives it best to type of usage.. Desktop, Laptop, Server, Office and etc. How ever you can find a best flavor of Linux to fit your need.
You can just have a Google search "Best Linux distributions" that will give quality of each flavor of Linux.
